This morning we went to the State of Nevada museum. It was pretty cool. We didn't have a lot of time to play around today, because we had to head out of town. Plus Ken ended up working last night and all morning on the phone and running in to his office, because it's hurricane season and he does emergency management/communications stuff. He even had to ditch us at the museum for a while while he ran to work. It's frustrating, but obviously there's nothing we can do about it. A group of guys from his office headed to Louisiana today, but he doesn't have to go yet. Maybe soon. He had to help them to get all ready and go.
The ride home seemed very long since it was day-time this time and the kids were all awake. Ken had some cordage type items that worked for my DVD player, so Nina watch Gilligan's Island the whole way home. (I bought the first season on DVD for $15 at Best Buy.) I had to pay $4.69 a gallon for gas in Elko, I about died. I was tempted to just drive to the next town to gas up, but I knew Ken would kill me. I can't even believe that gas is so high. Other than that, the ride home was uneventful.
