Wow I Never Post Here Anymore :(

But I do post on my other blog every day, so I'm not too big of a slacker.

Last week Alyssa cleaned my whole kitchen without being asked, so I took her out for a treat that night after dinner. I told her to choose what she wanted from the store. I told her she could have ice cream, a doughnut, a pop, a candy bar, basically whatever she wanted. And her dessert of choice? Two fried drumsticks! What a crazy girl!

And this week has been crazy... today was a pig-tail, bright lipstick,

and black nail polish day...

Don't know what that means exactly, but I had to make myself cute so I wasn't depressed!

And this was dinner... LOL

Yeah you can tell it's been one of those weeks when I actually scheduled this dinner on the menu days ago! Glad I was thinkin' ahead :)

Confidential - Behavior Notice (Caleb)

Yes I have seen the dreaded "Behavior Notice" in my inbox before. Usually Caleb is fighting or throwing snowballs.... you know, being a boy... this is a new one. And as mad as I should be I couldn't stop laughing. Who invented boys, seriously?

Violation: Disruptive behavior

Description: Caleb urinated on the field out back of the school, during recess. This was reported by his peers. Caleb admits to doing this. He will be providing service for the school during his lunch recess.

Good Grades.... again

Alyssa and Caleb each got a 4.0 on their report cards. Nina got a 3.92. Not too shabby! We celebrated with a trip to Chili's :)

We did Valograms at our school on Thursday. I got a flower for each of my kids. Then they wandered around the hall after play practice and picked up random dropped flowers (it was bring your teacher a flower day). They ended up with enough to make this little arrangement which Nina HAD to take a picture of to put on her blog... where in the world did she learn that from???

Although I'm not sure what flower arranging has to do with stories for girls which is what her blog is all about :) Silly girl!

Alyssa's Week!

It was Alyssa's birthday on Tuesday, the 3rd. I'm a slacker at blogging here, but finally I'm posting her birthday pictures! She loves nutcrackers (but hates the ballet...lol) so she usually gets a nutcracker every year. This year we got her two. Since she's obsessed with rats, how could we not get her the rat king nutcracker? She also got a penguin mp3 player speaker thing, a Harry Potter fairy tale book (I forget the name), a penguin knick-knack, some fairy figurines, money and I'm sure I'm forgetting something :)

She got to eat all her meals on the birthday plate. We've had the birthday plate tradition for years.

I took her flowers at school that day. She felt very cool carrying around her flowers at play practice and all the kids sang happy birthday to her.

Nina and Caleb decorated her birthday cupcakes while Alyssa and I ran to the store that evening. They turned out cute!

That was the good part of her week... on Thursday she had a dentist appointment. They knocked her out and did a root canal, six fillings, x-rays and sealants. It was so sad. She was so out of it when she came to. I felt very bad for her.

Her birthday party is on Wednesday night.
She's having a "spa party".
Fun, Fun!

Chinese New Year's Celebration and Other Highlights From Our Week

I took work off Friday night so Nina could play her violin at the Chinese New Year's celebration at our school. At first I was frustrated, thinking about the money I was missing out on, but I ended up really enjoying it. They did a fantastic job. Just one more reason I DO NOT want to leave our school.

Here's our violin player :)

And here's her fan club... LOL

Once again, Alyssa... what more is there to say? She read it was bubble wrap appreciation day or some other random bubble wrap day (who comes up with these themes anyways?) and she dressed up for it... ummm... yeah... it's Alyssa.

I had to work both Saturday day and night. Instead of driving home in between we went to lunch and shopping. We ate at the Bamboo Hut, which we LOVE! It was a really fun family day, but I'm getting worn out. Each week I work five days & three nights, have play practice twice a week, have activity days, do FEC (PTA) stuff, go to church, blog and try to keep up with three kids and housework. I'm so exhausted!!!
