Twilight

I went to Twilight tonight with Ashlee and Michelle (friends from work). This pic is of Ashlee and me with some random vampire models they had at the theater. Click here to read my movie review :) It was so nice to get out of the house and have a girl's night. Nina thought it was nice too since I paid her to babysit. Usually I don't pay her, because I'm going to work or out on a date with Ken and I feel it's part of her duty to the family, but since I was just going out with the girls I figured she deserved a little something. She also knows she has to be nice to her siblings or I'll withhold her pay... LOL. I got the kids pizza, root beer and movies and they were happy little puppies. We ate at the Training Table (mmm... cheese fries) and then saw the movie. It definitely needs to become a regular thing for me to go out and have fun. You have no idea how much I've missed having friends to hang out with over the last year or so. I think I gained 10 pounds at dinner, but oh well... at least I look even fatter next to models... ha ha ha

Kenny Loggins

Kenny Loggins performed at my work tonight. I co-house managed with my manager Ben :) I got to go into the concert to see the songs I love, which were:

*Danny's Song (even though we ain't got money)
*Footloose
*Danger Zone
*Your Momma Don't Dance and Your Daddy Don't Rock n Roll

I happened to see the song list when the guy had me make copies of it for the backstage people so I knew when I needed to sneak into the hall.

We had all three meals catered today and it was soooo good. Amazing food, of course, like Kenny Loggins would have anything not amazing...LOL My friend Ben and I ate dinner at the same time as Kenny & his band and we ate at the table next to them.

It was a really fun night. I worked all day too, so it was long and tiring and I got yelled at by a couple of people (one of the perks of managing) but I loved it. I love big shows like these and I didn't even have to pay the $100 ticket price!

Silly Kids

Nina was sooo bored yesterday (like 10 minutes after we got home from church). She didn't want to read or watch movies, so I told her to alphabetize the kid movies. And here she is... she even labeled the shelves with letters... lol.

I also thought I'd also share a couple of funny things Alyssa has said lately. Nina asked her if she had seen a certain show. Alyssa's reply was, "yeah... back in the day." How does an eight yr old have a back in the day? LOL Alyssa and Caleb were discussing how many times Caleb could jump rope. He told her he could like 40 times. Alyssa's response was, "Well, I don't really recognize you as a jump roper. You're more of a tag guy." She is such a kook. I also busted her in her bed way too late last night reading by the light of a nightlight, but how can you get mad at a child who's sneaking up past bedtime to read her scriptures? She's such a good kid!

Report Cards are In!

All three of my kids got straight As this term!!! Caleb got a 4.0 and the girls got 3.9 somthings or another. Good job them! We're going for ice cream tonight :)

Waste of Time, but oh so Funny!

Ok... I think I'm totally addicted to taking quizzes. I found a site called okcupid and they have some really fun ones. Ken and I have both been doing them and it cracks me up! From the Brutally Honest Personality Test, I learned I'm a sap that cries too much and Ken's a crackpot that everyone hates... lol. In the What Kind of Girl Are You, I found out I'm the Wonderful Girl. We also did the Nerd Geek or Dork Test. I'm Joe Normal... and Ken well... He's nerdy and geeky, but that's why we love him :) The Commonly Confused Words Test was fun and I scored pretty high. Some of the questions/tests are grown-ups only (inappropriate), so you might not want to venture around the site too much :)

Have a little time to waste? This is a fun place to waste it.

And... I found another snake in my bedroom today. I trapped it and my landlord came and got it for me.
